The Tennis Slam is a women's doubles tournament weekend. You come with a squad of eight — or we build you one — play five guaranteed matches from Friday through Super Sunday, and stay beachside at the resort. Entry is $300.00 per player. Lodging is separate, unless you book a villa — a villa covers entry for everyone staying in it.
The resort
The Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort has 23 outdoor clay courts laid out under Spanish moss, right on the Atlantic. Restaurants, spa and beach are all a short walk from the courts, so the tennis is the reason you came and the rest of the weekend takes care of itself.
What it costs
Entry is per player. If you book one of the villa packages below, entry is already included for everyone staying with you.
Villa packages
Three nights, Thursday check-in to Sunday check-out. Each package covers entry fees for every player staying in the villa, plus resort fees, taxes and daily parking, so the price you see is the price you pay.
- One bedroom villa, sleeps 1–2 players — $1,650
- Two bedroom villa, sleeps 2–4 players — $2,100
Most villas are a walk from the courts; a few are a two to three minute drive. Pick your package when you register and we'll be in touch to find out who's staying with you, so we can take care of their entry fees.
Hotel rooms for this event are sold out. Villas are the way in.

How the weekend works
Your squad is eight women — four doubles pairs. Bring your full eight, or come with fewer and we fill the open spots.
Five matches guaranteed, win or lose. Everyone plays Friday through Sunday, and the matchups tighten each round so you're playing pairs at your level by Saturday.
One shot at Super Sunday. It only takes one pair: if a pair from your team wins her bracket, all eight of you are back in for Super Sunday — semi-finals and finals, all in one day. Nobody's out of it until the last ball is hit.
Four days at the resort. Social play Thursday evening, tournament play Friday through Sunday, and the beach in between.
Will I be in over my head?
Your squad ranks its four pairs, Line 1 to Line 4. Each line only plays the same line from other squads, so a Line 4 pair never faces a Line 1 pair.
Match one is the only blind draw. After that you play pairs with your record, so by Saturday your bracket is pairs who play like you do.
Nothing here touches a USTA rating. Bring the 3.0 who plays Tuesdays and the 4.5 who plays for blood; the weekend finds both their level by lunch on Friday.

Register and pair up — we place the two of you on a squad with three more pairs who want the same weekend you do.

Register as an individual and we take care of the rest: a partner, a squad of eight, and a group text that will not stay quiet.
What your entry covers
- Five guaranteed matches, Friday morning through Super Sunday

- Your team placement and team identity for the weekend
- Court time, match scheduling and scoring, all weekend
Not included: lodging and travel. The villa packages below (three nights, entry fees included for everyone staying) are the on-site option — hotel rooms for this event are sold out.
Plans change? Full refund up to 30 days before the event starts, minus a $20 admin fee. For this tournament that's September 22, 2026.
Hurricane season? If a hurricane or a resort closure forces us to cancel the weekend, every entry fee and every villa package is refunded in full. If the weekend goes ahead and rain shortens play, we finish what we can and there are no partial refunds. Travel insurance for your flights is a good idea either way.
